Education is power
At CALCONGO, we are committed to empowering communities through accessible, practical, and transformative education. Our organization offers three core programs:
-

Cal Academy
The CALCONGO ACADEMY project supports approximately 100 children in Kikwit, DR Congo, by providing them with access to quality education. Through our computer-assisted learning, trained teachers, engaging learning methods, and essential materials, we empower children from grades 4 to 6 with knowledge, confidence, and hope for a better future. Your donation helps them learn, grow, and transform their lives.
CAL ACADEMY provides full educational support for these kids in Kikwit, including school fees, books, and trained teachers. In CAL ACADEMY, we implement creative, kids-focused development learning activities that help with problem-solving, innovation, and critical thinking.
Through consistent support, children gain the skills, confidence, and knowledge to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future.
As a Long-term Impact
Educating these kids will not only transform their lives but will also strengthen their communities.
-

Sewing Vocational
The sewing program offers students the opportunity to learn valuable skills in garment construction, tailoring, and textile repair. Through hands-on training, participants gain the ability to create, alter, and produce clothing—skills that are both marketable and empowering. This program serves as a stepping stone toward financial independence, especially for women and girls who may have limited access to education or employment opportunities. By mastering the craft of sewing, students can generate income through small businesses, contribute to local markets, and build a future rooted in self-reliance and dignity.
-

Motorcyle Repair Program
The motorcycle repair program is designed to equip students with hands-on training in fixing and building motorcycles from the ground up. By learning these practical, in-demand skills, participants are given the tools they need to pursue meaningful employment or even start their own small businesses. This program not only offers a pathway to financial independence, but also empowers individuals to take control of their future, support their families, and contribute to the growth and development of their communities.
